This was one of our most awaited stays of the trip, and it didn't disappoint. Each of the rooms are unique with features like a patio or an outdoor shower. The property itself is so beautiful. Nice yoga classes. Nice restaurant. And we had a view of the volcano from our room, and that never got old :)

Everyone is so friendly. It's a very safe area. Good restaurants and bars. The sea is calm and lovely to swim in. I had a great time in Amed. Rimba and Galanga were my favourite places to eat. There is live music each evening in various bars. Taxi scooters are a cheap and easy way to get to places, and readily available.
The negative thing about Amed is the litter on the beach.

To me, Amed is the best beach spot of Bali.
To me, Amed is the best beach spot of Bali. Quiet, beautiful snorkeling, amazing nature and rice fields but still a simple laid back vibe. Lots of simple affordable warungs but also new coffee places (that serve meals throughout the day) with Scandinavian look
For snorkeling, we liked Jemeluk best, since it has beautiful corals and fish and a quiet sea.
Riding a scooter is easy and the roads are good.

Amed is a bit no frills in a way.
Amed is a bit no frills in a way. It's a beautiful spot for sure but the beauty is more in the relaxed feel of it and the lack of what makes some of the other places a bit plastic and un-Bali. It's a bit of a diver/backpacker scene and most of the places to eat are smaller-medium warungs, but there is plenty of variety. We are a couple in our 50s (non diving/snorkelling) and we just loved the relaxed calm of it all and the great food.
If you are a snorkeller or diver you'd be in your element here.
It was quiet when we were there ( April - Aussie school hols ) and is probably still quiet generally post covid.
It's cheap too. Maybe not Vietnam cheap for food etc, but your $$ goes a long way.
There's enough to keep you busy around the one beach but it's easy enough to get to other spots via grab. I reckon Jemeluk is the best spot though. It has a greater selection of warungs and little stores.
If you prefer the pristine golden sand experience, Amed may not be your best option but its charm goes very deep.

Beautiful snorkelling and diving.
Beautiful snorkelling and diving. Great small village with good family run Warungs, adequate shops and a decent road that’s quiet by Bali standards. Very friendly locals who arent too pushy like they are in the South.

Brilliant place to learn to dive (61 dive shops), highly recommended Ocean Dive League very experienced, very supportive 5 stars definitely. Can do awesome dives, 2 shipwrecks, coral garden etc.
If you love luxury over character I don’t think this is a place for you.
Easy to do day trips and get a personal taxi driver. Food was good. Lots of fish and eggs! People extremely kind, helpful, accommodating. Not really a place to go clothes shopping.
Definitely would go there again.
Only negative thing, so much rubbish everywhere, on the beach, in the water, on the streets. Saw a washed up dead pig on the beach!!
We stayed at Jemeluk Room, which in my opinion has the best view. It has a big balcony facing the beach as our front yard. They have swimming pool but we never swim in that pool since we could jump anytime to the sea in front of our room. If you want snorkelling or diving experience, just ask the staff and they will help you with that. A perfect choice for our 3 nights holiday. Perfect location, good foods, friendly & helpful staffs. Will stay here again for sure when we're back to Amed!
We really enjoyed our stay at Bhuana villas and would totally reccoment them.
The place is beautiful (villas quite big, private and well decorated), with a big swimming pool and walking distance from a great snorkeling spot (perfect in case you don't drive a scooter).
Staff is amazing, and offers services like scooter rental, transportation etc. for honest prices and with genuine care.
We'll definitely stay here again when back to Bali - Amed was our favourite part!
Lovely spacious rooms just on, in my opinion, the best beach in Amed, Lipah Beach. Comfortable bed, nice hot water in the shower, good AC and a very nice balcony overlooking the blossoming trees. Nice restaurant too right on the beach. And, very nice and helpful staff. Also, Amed is great as a starting point if you want to visit places like Tirta Gangga and Lempuyang Temple, which the hotel helped me organize.
Our stay at Baliku was wonderful. The view was absolutely amazing, the king size bed was super comfortable and it was so spacious.
What made our stay even better was the staff. They where super kind and helped us with everything. From scooter to taxi to refilling our water bottles and serving the best food.
When we come back to amed, we will be back here again.
Great value for money!
everything was perfect we loved it so much that we extended it another 10 days! breakfast is the best I had so far in Bali and the restaurant chef is exceptional the food is amazing, the staff and very helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect. room was much bigger than expected and the bathroom is bigger than most rooms around Bali. simply perfect and will definitely visit again
The staff were very thoughtful ful and willing to help wherever possible. They loved to include you in conversation and impromptu gatherings of friends at Bali Yogi. They wanted to include the tourist for your and their enjoyment.
There's a swimming pool and the beach at the rear of the accommodation. Basic, cooked breakfast is served at your room or in the small dining area.
Arriving at The Angsa Villas in Amed, Bali, after nearly 24 hours of travel, exhaustion gave way to awe as I stepped into the serene atmosphere and was greeted by the breathtaking ocean view. The villa offers superb amenities and is ideally situated for witnessing Amed’s stunning sunrise.
There are convenient dining options as restaurants within walking distance.
I liked that it was outside of Amed, but yet easy to reach by a short scooter ride. The view was lovely and you can snorkel straight from the hotel grounds which was great too. There’s a few little place to eat nearby, a great local massage spa, and Lipah beach is only a short stroll away. Amed is also a nice town and much quieter than the busy south west of Bali
this place is incredible! the family that run the place are very kind, the rooms are all brand new and huge. comfiest beds ever, set in nice gardens and your set back away from the road ensuring a good nights sleep. breakfast banana pancakes, honey and fruit was the best. this is the best value property on Bali. book it - you won’t be disappointed.
One of the best hotels in Amed with stunning views from the balcony. Attention to details is exceptional. The facilities are still in new condition. Big rooms with comfy bed and sofa. As I mentioned, balcony views are stunning. Definitely worth it and I would personally recommend this hotel to someone who values the comfort the most.
The best hotel of our Bali trip. We also stayed there before covid and it did not change. Next to the perfect beach for sunset, clean, and beautiful. The breakfast is good, the staff is super nice and helpful and will arrange motorbike rental and transfer to/from your next destination at good price.
The room was extremely clean and the location is incredible. This place stands out as one of the best hotels on the main street. Also the restaurant food was amazing with really good prices. My room also had a view of Agung Volcano and the beach which was great to wake up to.
Very nicely run hotel run by Mario (not :-))
Very pretty site, nicely landscaped with beautiful cottages and great spacious shower rooms. The food for breakfast was the best in our stay in Bali...highly recommended and location just a nice shortwalk to the centre of Amed.
the view is unbeatable! the family who run this home stay are very lovely and helpful. Amed is a beautiful place, must see Bali destination. Homestay very close to popular snorkeling and beech bars. best views in Bali
best beachfront akomodatifnya in amed very quite clean best in amed room cleaan best spot view open window or room see beach best in amed. staff was amazing help full oragnize everything you can do in amed
The apartments are super clean and have an unreal view of the ocean. Loved the Balinese coffee and the family that owns the homestay are all lovely!! Will come back!
